LTE Scheduling

Scheduling

Scheduling To use the limited radio resource efficiently among multiple UEs, radio resources should be managed carefully so that the radio resources are allocated to UEs only when necessary. Thus, in LTE where Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) is used, the radio resources are shared dynamically among multiple UEs. Radio resource allocation among the UEs and among the radio bearers is decided and coordinated by the eNB. To make an optimal allocation, the eNB should be aware of accurate information regarding the data generated in the UEs and the data to be delivered to the UEs.
